When you were still young, you probably had a sweet little moment in front of the mirror when you opened your mommy’s drawer and revered all the colors and shapes of the cosmetics that she had. You took a lipstick and childishly mess it around your lips. You grabbed a make-up and brushed it over your face until you looked like a clown. Finding your mother’s favorite ribbon, you borrowed it and tied it around your head. You got to your feet and haughtily showed your family that you were no longer a child; you were a woman. Everybody adored you. They took pictures of you, and you realized how great it really is to be a grown-up.

But as you mature, you realize that being a grown-up isn’t really a life in cloud nine. You get to your seat in front of the mirror, open your drawer, put a lipstick, wear some make-up, and notice that some odd lines are starting to grown under your eyes, that your cheeks are slowly getting sloppy, and that your hair is becoming as thin as a gift wrapper. You start to panic and hope against hope that you can go back to those sepia days when you had the youth of your life.

Unfortunately you cannot. No one can. The search for the Fountain of Youth has long been given up. Until modern technology came in with a promise to revive your young look through the science of surgery.

Rhytidectomy, or face lift, is usually a surgical procedure conducted to lessen facial wrinkles, reduce signs of aging, and upgrade the overall look of the face and chin. Although it’s really effective to combat the effects of aging, stress and environment, people are sometimes discouraged by its price and their fear. In the presence of human error, anything can happen in a surgery, even the unexpected, unwanted things. Luckily, people that are distressed about their aging faces can now opt to have a cheap and bloodless face lift.

Through the non-surgical face-lift, or commonly called as natural face lift, people can now have the youthful look they have been dreaming of without engaging in an expensive, gory procedure. This face lift without surgery basically requires simple techniques using the most efficient resources available. One of which is through the use of facials.

Facials are used in almost all spas all over the globe to revitalize the skin. It is a good alternative to surgical face-lift since it is cheaper and you can apply it on your own. The purpose of a facial is to scrub, moisten, and cleanse your skin. You can even prepare a natural facial in your home without spending a fortune. These facials normally require aloe vera, oatmeal, honey, olive oil and some herbs. One cheap recipe you can do needs only honey and the juice of a lemon. You just have to combine the two and massage the mixture to your face. Leave it for half an hour and rinse using warm water, and then pat your face with a soft cotton cloth.

You can also try another recipe. This time, blend a few strawberries, grapes, a half of pear, a half of apple and an ounce of orange juice. Apply a thin layer of honey to your face, and then apply the fruit mixture afterwards. Also leave it there for half an hour, rinse with warm water. Lastly, rinse your face using vinegar to balance the acidity in your face.

However, facials merely prevent wrinkles and signs of aging. This procedure does not treat the damage that your skin already has. Still, it can improve and invigorate your skin to a youthful looking you without worrying much about the expenses and the needle.
