Summer can be utterly boring especially when house-arrested (it’s a killer, trust me). So before ever joining the statistic ranks of mortality rates, live the fun and exciting life outside those inhibiting doors by learning something for the break. Join a summer workshop or venture.

But looking for a good summer workshop, not to mention suiting, could be quite an undertaking. Granted that there are a lot of summer workshops and different sorts of ventures marketed right outside your door. Choosing sometimes is not as easy as it seems, though maybe at times. But what about when you are absolutely clueless of what to pick or to do? So how do you spend that summer allotment wisely? Here are some tips:

  1. Prioritize according to restrictions
Every person, unless absolutely inutile, has his or her own priorities. And this should entail a wish-list of what he or she wants to do or have. This is a very important process one must go through in acquiring something. He or she must have, not only informed but a reasonable choice. So organize a list. Asses first what you really want to have and put them into “first-things-first” order of things. This tip will be inclusive of time variable and monetary plausibility considerations. Check on things that fall within the consideration conditions, and then hierarchize them. This will make things a whole-lot-more easier for you.
  2. Choose according to Interests
Sometimes, to certain people or seasons, money isn’t a problem or even a consideration at all. Since you don’t have to wish-list them anymore upon monetarily determined conditions, you’re one short of the restrictions. This time you have bigger room to roam and choose. This tip involves on hierarchizing the list according to your level of interest on things. Which of the many craft, you want to learn first? Which is more interesting for you? It helps to think of certain hobbies, or inclinations you want to learn or master to execute a good choice.
  3. Choose according to Urgencies
But sometimes you are vague about the things that you really want or you find really interesting. So here’s a failsafe. Prioritize it according to situational and or circumstantial urgencies. The question to ask here should be “what needs to be learn immediately?”. In this way of setting-up the priority scheme on the list you get to address an immediate or a particular concern or need. By it you could gain a productive learning from the workshop or venture you will choose. Though from time to time, interests and urgencies are interchangeably applied in the priority sequence.

We hope these tips would come in handy in your decision makings for the summer break. There are no straight rules as to how you should spend your summer break. But it is always better to choose the productive way to spend. Ciao!
